aru Gaming hub

Client: aru
Project value: £2.5 millions

The Games development department was granted £2.5 millions to create a brand new facility on the 4th floor of Coslett building as part of the new Creative Quarter project.

The new facility presents 4 new gaming labs, a students social area, an office space for 12 staff members, a 1 to 1 meeting room, an IT hub room and a tech office.

Two of the gaming labs have been designed to accommodate individually 45 students with the option to be joined together through a central movable wall and create a 90 seats capacity. These 2 rooms are designed to have a virtual reality area on one side of the teaching room, behind the AV wall.

It is a very functional space tailored to support properly the gaming teaching and learning with the idea to have a facility where to host events and promote the department.

All finishes have been accurately specified to reflect the style of a  gaming environment.
